Ionic Mineral Technologies Named on Fast Company’s Third Annual List of the Next Big Things in Tech

PROVO, Utah – November 29, 2023 – Ionic Mineral Technologies, a leading U.S.-based producer of next-generation nano-silicon anode technology, marketed under the brand name Ionisil™, today announced that it has been named on Fast Company’s third annual Next Big Things in Tech list, honoring technology breakthroughs that promise to shape the future of industries—from healthcare and security to artificial intelligence and data.

This year, 119 technologies developed by established companies, startups, or research teams are highlighted for their cutting-edge advancements and potential to impact consumers, businesses, and society overall. While not all of the technological developments are available on the market yet, each one is reaching key milestones in order to have a proven impact in the next five years.

Ionic MT produces critical battery materials for the electric vehicle (EV) market. The company’s proprietary, American-made nano-silicon battery anode technology, Ionisil, dramatically improves the range and charging speed of EVs. As a drop-in solution for graphite, Ionisil is fully compatible with industry-standard lithium-ion batteries. Unlike other graphite alternatives, Ionisil is naturally derived and is produced through a low-emissions process.

“The recognition from Fast Company is a testament to our revolutionary battery technology and its power to provide faster-charging, longer-range lithium-ion batteries to fundamentally improve the EV driving experience,” commented Andre Zeitoun, CEO and founder of Ionic MT. “We are working to ensure that the U.S. is a leading global producer of critical materials at the scale necessary to support the fast-growing clean energy economy.”

“The Next Big Things in Tech is not just a look around the corner—it’s a look around the corner after that,” says Brendan Vaughan, editor-in-chief of Fast Company. “These are the products and ideas that will define technological innovation for the rest of this decade and beyond—and solve some of the world’s most pressing issues. We are thrilled to honor the organizations that are making them a reality.”
